Group 31 Self-Heating LiFePO4 Battery for Cold-Weather Power Systems
This is a Group 31 lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery designed for 12-volt energy storage in RVs, trolling motor systems, off-grid setups, camping, and home backup power. It includes an internal self-heating system to support safe charging in cold conditions and a built-in battery management system for protection and control. The battery is intended for users who need reliable power in environments where temperatures regularly drop below freezing.
Important: Do not use this battery as a starting battery. A 12.8V 20A charger is recommended. The self-heating system activates below 41°F and stops at 50°F or higher.
Key Features
-
Integrated self-heating system: Uses 100W heating pads to warm the cells for safer charging in cold weather, with faster heating efficiency.
-
Cold-weather charging support: Designed to heat from low temperatures, reaching charging readiness in approximately 30–60 minutes from 14°F and 70–100 minutes from -4°F.
-
1280Wh usable energy: Provides consistent energy storage for DC loads and inverter use within its rated limits.
-
100A battery management system: Includes over 20 protections to manage charging, discharging, temperature, and fault conditions.
-
EV-grade LiFePO4 cells: Built with lithium iron phosphate cells rated for more than 4000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge.
-
Expandable system design: Supports series and parallel configurations up to 4P4S for higher system voltage and capacity.
-
Multiple charging sources: Supports charging from a charger, solar system, generator, or alternator.
