The Victron Orion-Tr Isolated DC-DC Converter 48V / 12V-30A is a robust, high-performance voltage converter designed to safely step down 48V DC power to a stable 12V output. Featuring full galvanic isolation, this converter is ideal for applications where electrical separation between input and output is required. It is well suited for RVs, commercial vehicles, marine systems, telecom, and off-grid installations that rely on mixed-voltage DC systems. Built for reliability, the Orion-Tr delivers consistent output power, supports parallel operation to increase current capacity, and includes remote on/off functionality for seamless system control.
- Isolated DC-DC Conversion: This model provides full galvanic isolation between input and output, improving system safety and reducing the risk of ground loops or electrical interference. It delivers up to 30A at 12V from a 48V DC source, making it ideal for sensitive electronics and auxiliary systems.
- Remote On/Off Control: The integrated remote on/off feature allows the converter to be controlled using a low-power switch or an external signal such as an engine run/stop circuit. This eliminates the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring and simplifies system integration.
- Parallel Operation Capability: All Orion-Tr isolated converters are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase output current. There is no limit to the number of units that can be paralleled, offering excellent scalability for higher-power applications.

Micah is meticulous, I realized when I saw his tool chest, ridiculous organization. They installed and wired my solar panels, roof penetration, prewire Starlink, solar breaker, MMPT solar controller, DC to DC charging, shore power, wire batteries, Lynx distributors, Cerbo GX, air conditioner, MaxAir fan, ran power to my 12V and 120V electrical panels.
