This Starlink Roof Pass-Through Kit gives you everything needed for a clean, weatherproof, and properly supported Starlink cable run through your van roof, ceiling, or cabinetry. It pairs the Scanstrut DS-HD6 weatherproof cable seal with a purpose-built ADR Concepts backing plate for a rock-solid mount, plus a 15 ft. Starlink power cable sized for a typical roof-to-interior run.
What's Included
-
Scanstrut DS-HD6 Cable Seal (Pass-Through): A watertight, IP68-rated horizontal cable entry gland that lets you route your Starlink cable from the roof to the interior without drilling oversized holes or relying on messy sealants.
-
ADR Concepts Backing Plate: A carbon fiber-reinforced backing plate that bonds to the interior side of your roof or panel, giving the Scanstrut seal's mounting bolts a solid, pre-threaded anchor point instead of thin self-tapping screws into bare panel material.
-
15 ft. Starlink Power Cable: A cable length sized to comfortably run from a roof-mounted entry point down to your router, power distribution panel, or battery system, so you're not left splicing or coiling excess cable inside your build.
Built for Clean Campervan Starlink Installs
Routing a Starlink cable through a van roof or ceiling usually means choosing between a rushed, sealant-heavy install or a proper pass-through setup. This kit is built for the latter. The Scanstrut DS-HD6 creates a 100% watertight seal at the roof entry point, while the ADR Concepts backing plate solves the biggest weak point of that installation: mounting into thin, uneven, or finished interior surfaces.
Instead of driving self-tapping screws directly into your ceiling material, the backing plate bonds to the interior side of the surface. The Scanstrut seal then fastens into the plate's pressed-in lock nuts using its included bolts, so you get a mount that's both stronger and easier to install correctly the first time. The 15 ft. power cable is included so the whole run — roof entry to interior connection — is covered in one kit.
Key Features
-
Watertight cable entry: The Scanstrut DS-HD6 uses a tapered gland and closed-cell foam gasket for a fully sealed, IP68-rated roof pass-through.
-
DS-HD6-specific backing plate fitment: The ADR Concepts plate is matched to the DS-HD6's bolt pattern and center clearance for a precise fit.
-
Stronger, cleaner mounting: Pressed-in lock nuts in the backing plate let the cable seal be fastened with bolts instead of self-tapping screws into thin ceiling panels.
-
Right-sized cable run: The included 15 ft. Starlink power cable is sized for standard van roof-to-interior distances, minimizing excess cable to manage inside your build.
-
Lightweight, rigid construction: The backing plate is made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic — strong enough to anchor bolts, light enough to add negligible weight.
-
Campervan and marine-ready: Suitable for roof panels, cabinetry, and fiberglass shells across van builds, overland vehicles, and boats.
-
Beyond Starlink: The seal and backing plate also support solar wiring, antenna cable, and other electrical pass-through applications if your build changes down the line.
How It Works
- Bond the ADR Concepts backing plate to the interior side of your roof, panel, or cabinetry at the planned cable entry point.
- Drill the entry hole through to the exterior and route your Starlink cable through the Scanstrut DS-HD6 seal.
- Fasten the DS-HD6 into the backing plate's pressed-in lock nuts using the included bolts for a secure, watertight mount.
- Run the 15 ft. power cable to your router, power panel, or battery bank to complete the connection.
